Biography: Dr. Haijing Tu is an associate professor at Indiana State University. She joined Indiana State University in 2013 as an assistant professor and was promoted and tenured as an associate professor in 2019. She received her Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2009. Most recently, she completed a master’s degree in Data Science at Indiana University Bloomington in May 2024. Her teaching and research are in the areas of data analytics and visualization in journalism, social network analysis, computational communication, and digital media production. Her publications are included in journals such as Intercultural Communication Studies, Journal of International Students, and Pennsylvania Communication Annual. Prior to joining Indiana State University, she gained valuable teaching experience as adjunct faculty at Lynn University in Florida and as a lecturer at Utah Valley University between 2012 and 2013.
